While Stroh continued brewing beer into the late 1990's, the last working day for the Detroit brewery was May 31, 1985. Since Stroh headquarters remained in Detroit, decision was made to keep "Stroh Brewing Company, Detroit, MI" printed on the cans though technically not brewed in the state. To some, Stroh cans after 1985 are not considered a Michigan collectible. |
